The project
Mandum Rimba is built in the open, as a non-profit, public-interest project. This page explains where its source code stands and how you can get involved.
Source code
All of Mandum Rimba's code is open-source (AGPL-3.0). The intent is simple: anyone can inspect how it works, copy it, and help improve it.
The repository is currently being prepared for public release, together with contribution guidelines so anyone can take part comfortably. The repository link will appear here once it's ready.
Get involved
You don't need to write code to help. What we need most right now:
- Data corrections, if a coordinate, status, or source is wrong, tell us with a link to the original source.
- Layer or species suggestions, credible public data that deserves a place on the map.
- Design & methodology feedback, what's confusing, or what could be made clearer.
- Spread the word, share the map with people who care about Indonesia's forests and wildlife.
- Code contributions, open as soon as the public repository and its contribution guide are ready.
